Has anyone considered making a film from the Dr Siri Paiboon mystery/detective book series by Colin Cottrell? Set in the 1970s, it takes both a comical and endearing portrayal of Lao life and politics at the time. Dr Siri and his team are lovable characters. Very funny and clever script. Each book is set in a different province so would make variety of landscapes and situations.

just an idea for budding film makers!
